1. The Services

What we provide
lmchat provides a unified interface for LLM usage, which may include dashboards, API keys, routing across providers, usage reporting, and related features. Some features may be in beta or subject to change.

2. Accounts, verification, and security

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • We may require email and/or phone verification to reduce abuse and protect accounts.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and any API keys you create. Notify us promptly of unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to
  • use the Services for illegal, harmful, or abusive activity;
  • attempt to bypass rate limits, access controls, or usage restrictions;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Services or their security;
  • use the Services to create or distribute malware or exploit code;
  • process sensitive personal data without appropriate rights, notices, and safeguards.

4. API keys, limits, and suspension

Keys and limits
API keys are intended to be secret and revocable. We may impose rate limits, usage caps, or other controls to protect the platform and upstream providers. We may suspend or terminate access for suspected abuse, fraud, or violations of these Terms.

5. Third-party providers and model outputs

Third-party services
The Services may route requests to third-party model providers and rely on third-party vendors (e.g., SMS/email). Their terms and policies may apply.
Outputs
LLM outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsafe. You are responsible for evaluating outputs and for decisions made using them. Do not rely on outputs as professional advice.

6. Fees, credits, and refunds (when applicable)

Usage-based billing
If we offer paid usage (e.g., credits), charges may be based on usage metrics such as tokens, requests, or provider costs. Unless required by law, payments are non-refundable once used. Any promotional credits may have additional terms.

7. Intellectual property

Our rights
We and our licensors retain all rights in the Services, including software, branding, and documentation. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer the Services except where permitted by law.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

As-is
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

Limits
To the maximum extent permitted by law, lmchat will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Our total liability will be limited to the amount you paid to us for the Services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or a reasonable minimum if required by law).

10. Termination

Ending access
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access as described above. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive termination (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitations of liability).

11. Changes to these Terms

Updates
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
