1. What we collect

Account information
We collect your email address. We may also collect and verify a phone number as part of account security and abuse prevention.
Usage & device data
We collect data such as IP address, user-agent, timestamps, and basic usage events to operate the Services, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
API request metadata (when you use the API)
We may process request identifiers, model/provider selection, token counts, latency, error codes, and routing outcomes. Depending on your configuration and policies, we may also process request/response content to deliver the Service.

2. How we use information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services.
  • Authenticate users, verify accounts, and prevent abuse and fraud.
  • Measure performance, debug issues, and maintain security.
  • Communicate with you about service updates and security events.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. Data policies, logging, and retention

Principle
lmchat is designed to support configurable logging and retention policies. The exact behavior may depend on your plan, your settings, and the requirements of upstream providers.
We aim to retain only what is necessary for security, reliability, and (where applicable) billing/usage reporting. If we provide “data policies” controls, those controls define what we log and how long we keep it.

4. How we share information

Service providers
We use vendors to operate the Services, such as email delivery (SMTP provider) and SMS verification (e.g. Twilio). These vendors process data on our behalf to provide their services.
LLM providers
If you use our API, requests may be routed to third-party model providers. Those providers may process prompts and outputs to return responses. Their handling of data is governed by their own terms and policies.
Legal, safety, and enforcement
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to investigate abuse and enforce our Terms.

5. Security

Security measures
We use reasonable measures designed to protect information. No system is 100% secure; you are responsible for keeping credentials and API keys safe.

6. Your choices

  • You can update account information in the dashboard.
  • You can revoke and rotate API keys when those features are available.
  • You can request account deletion by contacting support@lmchat.net.

7. International transfers

Cross-border processing
If you access the Services from outside the country where our infrastructure or vendors operate, information may be processed in other jurisdictions.

8. Changes to this policy

Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by posting the updated policy on this page with a new effective date.
This document is provided as a product-oriented template and should be reviewed by qualified counsel for your jurisdiction and business model.
